The Al-Nassr Soccer Club Academy
The Al-Nassr Soccer Club Academy is a dynamic and inspiring initiative aimed at empowering young refugees in Malaysia through the transformative power of soccer and sports. This program brings together a diverse group of refugees from different nationalities, united by their shared love for the game. Despite the challenges they face as refugees, they are determined to build better lives and pursue their passion for sports. Unfortunately, the legal constraints in Malaysia prevent refugees from officially forming sports clubs or registering in established teams, denying them the opportunity to play and develop their skills in a formal setting.
The initiative, supported by Aura Insani, seeks to break these barriers and offer refugees the chance to engage in sports without restrictions. This request outlines the financial support needed to ensure that these young refugees can train, compete, and potentially move towards professional soccer careers, creating a sense of belonging, purpose, and hope.
Objectives of the Program:
- Empower refugees through access to sports.
- Help young refugees build a future and overcome the trauma of war and displacement.
- Promote physical and mental well-being by providing structured soccer training.
- Provide opportunities for refugees to integrate into the broader community and move beyond crime and social exclusion.
- Cultivate discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills that will serve the refugees throughout their lives.
Benefits of the Initiative:
- Youth Empowerment: The academy will offer a platform for over 60 young refugees (Syrian, Yemeni, Somali, Sudanese) to learn and grow in soccer, encouraging teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
- Health and Well-being: Sports can combat the negative effects of trauma, stress, and depression that many refugees experience.
- Community Integration: Soccer provides a common ground for diverse groups of refugees to interact, create friendships, and build a positive community spirit.
- Avoiding the Path to Crime: Engaging in sports provides an alternative to crime, offering the refugees a sense of belonging and purpose.
- Future Opportunities: The academy nurtures leadership, determination, and the ability to overcome obstacles, benefiting the refugees long after they leave.
Expanded Funding Requirements:
